The agent dashboard can send browser notifications when new conversations enter the queue or when active conversations receive new messages.
Click the "ENABLE NOTIFICATIONS" button in the banner to enable browser notifications.
Your browser will prompt you to allow or deny notifications from the Mavenoid website. Choose to allow them.
The agent dashboard page will reload automatically.
When new conversations enter the queue or active conversations receive new messages and you have a browser tab open to the agent dashboard, you will receive a notification from your browser alerting you to the new conversation or message.
If you change browsers or the "send notifications" permission is revoked for Mavenoid's website, the notifications banner will reappear. You can re-enable notifications by repeating steps one through three.
Note that browsers and operating systems (such as Mac OS and Windows) have separate settings for notifications. If you are not receiving notifications, confirm that your browser settings are configured to allow them from Mavenoid and that your system settings are configured to allow them from your browser. See Troubleshoot browser notifications for more information.
The agent dashboard also sends emails to notify support agents when new conversations enter the queue. By default, notifications will be sent to all members of the corresponding agent group based on the email addresses on each user's profile. If desired, you can specify a different set of email addresses to notify. This can be configured on the corresponding agent group.
The agent dashboard can also send SMS messages to notify support agents when new conversations enter the queue. By default, no SMS messages are sent. If desired, you can specify a set of phone numbers to notify. This can be configured on the corresponding agent group.
