Action nodes are able to perform a multitude of helpful actions to ensure a conversation is successful.
One of the common actions is to Send SMS that can be triggered by a tool call.
It is beneficial when the Voice Assistant encounters complex troubleshooting or needs to collect data that is difficult to gather over the phone.
Right click inside the voice flow.
Select Advanced > Actions
Name the Action node. This will not be shown to the user.
Click on the plus sign next to Actions and select the option Send SMS
Add content to the Message field. This is what the SMS will contain when sent to the user.
For longer links we recommend checking Automatically shorten links. This will create a shorter link for the users.
Add a Tool response node and connect it to the Action node.
Give the Tool response a name and some instructions for the AI on what to do once the Tool response node is reached.
Link the Action node in the voice flow to an instruction node that calls a tool, you can learn more about this by selecting "How-to set up a tool call".
