How-to set up Read data for a Voice Flow

Read data nodes are used to act upon data collected during or prior to the conversation. A common way to use Read data nodes is to inform users about the status of their order.

  1. Right click inside the voice flow.

  2. Select Advanced > Read data

  3. Read data nodes contain different options where we can match specific data keys with actions.

  4. Add more options by clicking on the plus next to Options

  5. Add the data key and the value that is needed for scenario.

  6. Connect the Read data with the node that you want to perform different outcomes depending on the data.

  7. Make sure to add a Fallback to ensure the conversation is not dependant on the data.

  1. Set up a Smart Triage (If you want to learn more about using Smart triage continue to How-to set up Smart Triage).

  2. Connect the Read data node to the Smart Triage.

  3. Add nodes to create a custom experience for the different data options.

  4. This can be used to transfer users based on data that is collected during or prior to the call.

  5. We can also ask users to provide more information to reduce the call time for agents.
