Work with conditions

Create a new condition

  1. Select the node to which you want to add a condition. This opens its edit panel.

  2. Click "Add or create condition".

  3. In the flyout menu, select "Create new".

  4. Enter a descriptive name. This will only be used within the assistant builder and will not be displayed to the customer.

  5. Enter a question. This is what will be displayed to the user as a prompt.

  6. For each option that should be available to the user as a response to the question, enter it into the Options list.

  7. If more information is needed to explain the question to the user, add it to the Description box. As with other nodes, you can even embed files.

  8. Click the X to close the condition and return to the node's edit panel.

  9. Back on the node's edit panel, select the condition options that should apply to this node.

  10. If desired, click "Add or create condition" to add another condition. The node will only be active if all conditions are satisfied.

  11. On the canvas, you can hover over the node to see a tooltip indicating what conditions and options are applied to it.

  12. Any conditions you created will be available for reuse on other nodes as described below. A given condition's question will only be asked to the user once regardless of how many nodes it is used on.

Reuse an existing condition

  1. Select the node to which you want to add a condition. This opens its edit panel.

  2. Click "Add or create condition".

  3. In the flyout menu, select the condition you wish to reuse.

  4. Select the condition options that should apply to this node.

  5. If desired, click "Add or create condition" to add another condition. The node will only be active if all conditions are satisfied.

  6. On the canvas, you can hover over the node to see a tooltip indicating what conditions and options are applied to it.

  7. A given condition's question will only be asked to the user once regardless of how many nodes it is used on.

Connect conditions to form data

  1. As part of creating a new condition or reusing an existing condition, edit a condition.

  2. Specify the form data key to associate with this condition.

  3. For each answer, specify both the answer name (to display to the user) and the corresponding form data value. The name can be the same as the form data value, but no two answers can have the same form data value.
