In some cases, you may need to guide users through a multiple-step process. The assistant can do this by using step-by-step guides.

Guides can be included in symptom, solution, question, and message nodes. When the user encounters one, the assistant will display each step separately and allow the user to move forward and back through the steps as needed.

Guides can also be edited as flow components if branching logic is needed (for example, if the steps differ slightly based on the user's device model) or if you simply prefer editing the guide as a set of nodes on a canvas.

Guides can be reused in different nodes or flows as appropriate, but note that unlike other flow components guides can only be included on nodes and cannot be added to a flow as a standalone node. They do not appear in the canvas add menu's Component list.
