Export a flow

A flow can be exported to a JSON file for backup.

1. Click the "IMPORT/EXPORT" button to open the import/export dialog.
   

2. Under "EXPORT FLOW", click "DOWNLOAD" to save the JSON file to your local machine.
   

3. Click anywhere outside the import/export dialog to close it.

Import a flow

Exported JSON flows can be imported back into Mavenoid.

Importing a flow will completely replace the existing flow. We recommend only importing onto a new empty flow.

Importing a flow that contains components or step-by-step guideswill overwrite those components and guides. If you've updated any components or guides, export a new JSON file as well to prevent undoing those updates.

The maximum uploadable file size is 50 MB.

1. In the flows list, click "Create a flow" to create a new flow.

2. Start from the blank template - the flow content will be overwritten by the import.
   

3. Once the flow is created and opened, click the "IMPORT/EXPORT" button to open the import/export dialog.
   

4. Under "IMPORT FLOW", click the "Browse..." button to open a file chooser.
   

5. Navigate your file system and select the JSON file to import.

6. Click "IMPORT". The flow in the JSON file will completely overwrite your existing flow.
   

7. Click the settings button to open the flow settings panel.
   

8. Update the flow's name as desired.

Copy a flow

You can copy a flow by exporting it and reimporting it. This can be useful if you have one you want to use as a template for multiple similar products.

Importing a flow will completely replace the existing flow. We recommend only importing onto a new empty flow.

1. Open the flow you wish to copy.

2. Click the "IMPORT/EXPORT" button to open the import/export dialog.
   

3. Under "EXPORT FLOW", click "DOWNLOAD" to save the JSON file to your local machine.
   

4. Click anywhere outside the import/export dialog to close it.

5. Click the back button in the top left corner to return to your flows list.
   

6. In the flows list, click "Create a flow" to create a new flow.

7. Start from the blank template - the flow content will be overwritten by the import.
   

8. Once the flow is created and opened, click the "IMPORT/EXPORT" button to open the import/export dialog.
   

9. Under "IMPORT FLOW", click the "Browse..." button to open a file chooser.
   

10. Navigate your file system and select the JSON file to import.

11. Click "IMPORT". The flow in the JSON file will completely overwrite your existing flow.
    

12. Click the settings button to open the flow settings panel.
    

13. Update the flow's name as desired.
